Stop! Don’t Drink That Fruit Juice!

Before you drink down that glass of fruit juice, know that even though eating fruit can lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, drinking fruit can increase it!

Our friends over at The Greatist shared this study from a team of scientists from Britain, Singapore, and the Harvard School of Public Health that shows that even though fruit juice might be more convenient, its a less healthy option than a real piece of fruit.

When fruit goes through the juicing process, not only does it destroy beneficial antioxidants, but it also gets rid of all the natural fiber that is crucial to digestive health.
